Georgie Gardiner

Georgie’s vessels and bowls are decorated with her distinctive style of paper resist, which she has been perfecting now for nearly 20 years. She cuts the paper by hand and builds up the designs as she goes, which means no two pieces are ever identical. Layers of colour are applied with brushes to create bold graphic motifs once the paper is peeled away. She enjoys the challenges that come from working with this technique - always trying to achieve the perfect balance between surface, form and decoration. Her aim is to produce pieces that are calm, carefully considered and timelessly elegant.
