Billy Adams
Billy’s ceramics explore aspects of landscape through texture and colour. His vessels take on a distinctive sculptural identity with rims and handles placed within the unique integrated structure. This elevates them beyond their function and so gives them another meaning. He incorporates geological elements, natural colours, and refers to marks of human activity on the landscape, into his vessels. Their conclusive forms are recognised as jugs, bowls and vessels, yet they represent profound arguments concerning issues of an individual’s perception and memory of an ever-changing landscape.
