Paddy Hartley

Paddy Hartley is an established multidisciplinary artist. He brings a unique perspective to ceramics, blending traditional craftsmanship with experimental processes. Hartley’s artistic practice is split into two journeys with contrasting terrains and expression of experience. One path is mapped by 30 plus years of playing with clay. His thrown ceramic works are inspired by his local landscape around Berwick Upon Tweed and developed by his photography of the region. The other path is politically charged sculpture, responding to world events, and has thrown the map away.
